Apple announced that it will postpone the launch date of the redesigned version of the Mac Pro desktop to 2019, after it was expected to be issued this device this year.
"We want to be transparent and communicate openly with Mac Pro users, so we're asking them not to wait for the redesigned Mac Pro this year because it's a 2019 product," said Tom Puger, vice president of Mac marketing for the media.
He also stressed that the device deserves the trouble of waiting because Apple is making adjustments to the device based on the feedback of customers waiting for the new Mac Pro, where the company has formed a team Pro Workflow to help them to improve equipment hardware and programs in the actual production chains to become a reality and not just written goals.
The team works on designs in 3D animation, music, videos and visual effects for real production, and then identifies things that need to be addressed, whether in the design of the computer or in the applications that will be available.
Pro Workflow has helped improve performance on the iMac Pro and is currently working on the redesigned Mac Pro.
