Intel Announces 8th Generation Core Processor on August 21

Intel Corporation announced on Tuesday that it will announce its 8th generation Core processors and associated architecture on August 21 via Facebook Live. The announcement comes as the company launches the latest Core i9 processors based on the Sky lake architecture , So it's trying to fill the rest of the year through Intel's CPU products.

The eight-generation processors work on a new architecture called Coffee Lake, which is Intel's fourth update of the 14nm processors. It was the beginning of Broadwell's architecture, which replaced the 22-nm Haswell architecture, Lake, and later replaced by the Kaby Lake architecture.

The company's generations of processors have become more difficult since the company dropped the Tick-tock model. In February, the company promised that consumers would receive the eighth-generation processors running the Coffee Lake architecture in the second half of 2017 .

The company is expected to introduce four types of Coffee Lake processors - Coffee Lake-U, Coffee Lake-X, Coffee Lake-S and Coffee Lake-H, with four or six-core chips and a GT2 graphics chip. To be 30 percent higher than Kaby Lake architecture.

Core i9 processors, including the Core i9-7980XE processor, which contains 18 kernel and 36 chips, scheduled for September 25, will be available for a price of up to US $ 2000 and will be integrated with the i9-7960X 16-core and 32-bit processor, up to $ 1,700, the i9-7940X processor with 14 core and 28 chips, up to $ 1,400, and the i9-7920X processor with 12 core and 12 threads and up to $ 1200.

The Core i9-7980XE and other i9 processors come after the release of the i9-7900X 10-core and 20-inch processor along with the X299 platform in July. The reviews show that the i9-7900X processor can be considered the fastest consumer-oriented processor, It is still far from competitive in terms of value compared to AMD Ryzen processors
