Google yesterday announced the introduction of changes to the Play Store to increase the likelihood of finding applications that work properly.
According to the Google Android developer blog, half of the one-star reviews for Play Store applications relate to application stability. With this in mind, Google has changed its search for better apps and games:
"As part of our ongoing effort to provide the best possible experience in Google Play, we have recently enhanced search and discovery algorithms to reflect the quality of the app, resulting in higher-quality apps in the Play Store than similar low-quality applications."
Google also advises application developers, who may suddenly find themselves at the bottom of the search list, using feedback feedback to improve their applications and raise their rankings.
